IM-1 01/03/03 CHANGE IN FAMIS CONTROLLED FLOW
SUBJECT: |
CHANGE IN FAMIS CONTROLLED FLOW |
DISCUSSION: |
A Food Stamp Program policy change regarding
the budgeting of court-ordered child support will be issued in the next
few months. In order to prepare for this policy change, the FAMIS
court ordered child support driver question screen (FMRB) is being moved
toward the beginning of the controlled flow. Effective January 6,
2003, the question will be asked following the Utility Expense Standard
screen (FMXJ). Applications that are in the controlled flow at the
time the driver question is moved will be set back in the flow to the Eligibility
Unit Member Role screen (FM3Z).
Questions that were answered in the controlled flow prior to the driver question being moved will retain the answers. Review the answers for accuracy and flow forward to complete the controlled flow. Pending applications that are completely through the controlled flow are not affected by this change. Converted cases that are placed in the controlled flow and are at the Caseload Setup screen (FM11) are not affected by this change. If a worker accessed the controlled flow and was then interrupted, the converted case will also be set back in the controlled flow to the Eligibility Unit Member Role screen (FM3Z). A memorandum regarding the Food Stamp Program policy change for the budgeting of court-ordered child support will be issued in the next few months. |
