Individuals who are active in one food
stamp Eligibility Unit (EU) in Legacy or FAMIS and make application in
another EU in FAMIS are rejected due to duplicate participation when the
controlled flow is completed. To prevent the rejection of the individual
in the new EU, take the following action:
-
Leave the request to add a person in the controlled
flow.
-
Complete actions required to remove the individual
from the EU in which they are active. If necessary, contact the county
where the individual is active, let that county know the individual has
left the EU, and ask them to take action to remove the individual.
Refer to the "Removing
A Supercase/Eligibility Unit Member" user guide.
-
Once the individual is inactive in the original
EU, complete the controlled flow for the new EU and authorize the actions.
The first month will be rejected for duplicate participation and the second
month will be approved, if eligible.
Following the procedures outlined above will
prevent unnecessary rejection and reapplication actions when an individual
moves from one food stamp EU to another. This includes both moving
from one FAMIS EU to another or moving from a Legacy EU to a FAMIS EU. |
