FOOD STAMP EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING TRANSPORTATION CHECKS
DISCUSSION:
Effective upon conversion to FAMIS, transportation reimbursement checks requested for participants who have complied with the food stamp METP requirement by participating in Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Direct Job Placement (DJP) are requested through FAMIS.  It is no longer necessary to submit a DBF-14 and IM-19 to request payment for transportation reimbursement and work related expenses for DJP.  Instructions for entering data on the Supportive Services Maintenance screen can be found in the Supportive Services Maintenance Payment user guide.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with necessary staff.
  • Implement this procedure upon implementation of FAMIS.
