| DISCUSSION: |
| We have had several instances where case
files have been inappropriately transferred from one county to another.
Only transfer a food stamp case from county to county when completing a
courtesy application or the EU has moved to a new county. The policy
for transferring a food stamp EU from county to county, whether in Legacy
or FAMIS, is to contact the receiving county to obtain authorization prior
to transferring the case. Once authorization is received the transferring
county transfers the case to the receiving county.
It is not appropriate to transfer a FAMIS EU to initiate action to remove a person and then transfer the EU back to the county of residence. |
