PERSONS EXCLUDED FROM THE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE GROUP: PROBATION/PAROLE VIOLATER; TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE/CASE MANAGEMENT MANUAL REVISION #19:  SECTION 0210.005.10
DISCUSSION:
This memorandum is to update the Persons Excluded section of the Temporary Assistance manual.  The following have been added:
  • Individuals who are violating a condition of probation or parole imposed under federal or state law are ineligible for Temporary Assistance. 
  • Individuals who have been convicted in a state or federal court of having fraudulently misrepresented residence in order to receive assistance simultaneously from two states are ineligible for 10 years from the date of conviction.
  • Individuals, who are ineligible due to having been convicted of a drug-related felony after August 22, 1996, are ineligible forever.
The updated manual pages are attached.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File the revised manual pages.
