DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to update the Temporary Assistance/Case Management Manual to include home schooling in the School Attendance section.

The following change has been made:

Home schooling activities may meet the requirement of a full-time student if logs of school attendance are kept.  Compare the logs to hours that a full-time student in school would normally keep to determine full/part-time attendance.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File the revised manual page in the Temporary Assistance/Case Management Manual.
