SUBJECT: |
INTERIM ASSISTANCE REIMBURSEMENT (IAR) FORM (IM-77) |
DISCUSSION: |
Effective immediately General Relief (GR) applicants are no longer
required to sign an Interim Assistance Reimbursement form (IM-77).
If an IM-77 has been signed DO NOT send it to the Social Security Office
(SSA).
The reason for this is that the IM-77 must be sent to SSA within 30 days of the client signing the form, on cash cases, and GR clients are not currently eligible for cash. GR clients are still required to apply for SSI as a condition of eligibility. If the cash grant is reinstated a new memorandum will be issued with instructions for obtaining IM-77’s and submitting them to SSA. |
