Memorandum IM-#9, dated February 2, 2004, advised staff that insurance settlements received by food stamp EUs due to the tornadoes in May 2003 were excluded from the resource determination. This memorandum is to remind staff the insurance settlements are excluded through August 31, 2004.
Effective September 1, 2004, any money left from the insurance settlement is counted toward the resource maximum for the food stamp EU. Update the resource information at the next certification or interim contact. |
