ebtEDGE BLANK CARD NUMBER
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to remind staff of the card delete process discussed in the EBT manual at 0150.032.10 Card Deleted.
When an EBT card has not been used for a year, a process begins to cancel the EBT card and remove the EBT account from ebtEDGE. At times, this process cancels and removes the card from ebtEDGE, but the account remains. If this happens the ebtEDGE CARD screen looks like this:
If the card number is blank, but the account is active in ebtEDGE, you must go to the EBTU screen to reissue the card. On the EBTU screen:
- Type C in the Action field,
- Type Y in the Reissue Card field, and
- Press enter.
- When the warning message appears that the card must be deactivated or cancelled in ebtEDGE, press enter. There is no card to cancel in ebtEDGE.
- A new card will be issued overnight.
Available benefits will appear when the new card is reissued.
