DISCUSSION:
At the suggestion of county office staff, a user guide MANUALLY CALCULATING A FOOD STAMP BUDGET is developed. This guide assists staff in explaining the method and process used to calculate a food stamp budget in determining eligibility to applicants, participants, hearing unit staff and local contacts. Examples of budgets, including dollar amounts of income and expenses are included in the user guide.
This guide should be used with the FAMIS entries to explain the calculation.
