CHANGES TO FOOD STAMP INCOME EXCLUSIONS
DISCUSSION:
Effective May 1, 2005, compensation in lieu of wages, income code CL, and German Reparation Payments, income code GE, are changed from being included to being excluded income for food stamps.
At the next contact with an EU who has income from German Reparation Payments or compensation in lieu of wages, determine the months in which this income type has been budgeted. Complete a WIBCA to restore any benefits to which the EU may be entitled due to the income being included rather than excluded prior to May 1, 2005.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Restore any benefits owed to the EU due to incorrect budgeting of compensation in lieu of wages or German Reparation payments.
