ACCESS TO EBT CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP DESK NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM A PAYPHONE

DISCUSSION:

Effective July 1, 2005, participants will no longer be able to access the EBT Customer Help Desk from a payphone. In recent months, the cost for accepting calls from payphones to the Customer Service Help Desk toll-free number has more than doubled.

Calls to the Help Desk from private lines and cell phones will continue to be toll-free. Cardholders will continue to have access to their account balance information on each of their transaction receipts or through POS terminal balance inquiries.

Flyers have been developed to advise participants of the change. Print the attached English PDF logo and Spanish PDF logo flyers and post in a prominent place in your office. Please share this information with other community partners.

On July 1, 2005, cardholders will be able to access their account information online. More information regarding this new service will be provided in the future.
