DETAILS FOR FOOD STAMP ACTIONS CREATED BY DWD
DISCUSSION:
Effective June 19, 2005, details display for food stamp participants on the DWD Details (FMK7) screen in the following circumstances.
- When the Division of Workforce Development (DWD) sends compliance or information on the nightly file for mandatory food stamp work registrants, a reminder “check employment assessment code” appears and details display. The worker must end the sanction when the individual complies.
- When an individual reports to DWD s/he may meet an exemption or exclusion the worker receives a reminder “check employment assessment code”. The Employment Assessment code is changed to 18 and gives the worker 60 days to determine if the individual is exempt, excluded, or a mandatory participant.
- When an individual fails to respond or complete an METP activity. FAMIS begins the sanctioning process when failed information is received from DWD. There are no reminders created when this process begins, however, the details display on the DWD Details (FMK7) screen.
DWD details are made available to assist staff in determining why an action is taken, in hearings, or when discussing METP non-compliance issues with the food stamp EU.
How to Access DWD Details
To go to the Select Interface (FMK0) screen tab to the command line and type INTRFACE or FMK0 and press enter. To go to the Select Interface (FMK0) screen using menus:
- From the Main Menu (FMPX) type 4 on the command line and press enter. The Inquiry Menu (FMPZ) screen appears.
- Type 12 on the command line and press enter. The Select Interface (FMK0) appears.
- The last Supercase worked on appears on this screen. If this is not the Supercase desired, type or prompt for the correct Supercase.
- Prompt for the DCN of the individual for whom a reminder is received and press enter. All interfaces for the individual appear, the date the interface was updated, the individual DCN, name, con-custodial parent/custodial parent name, and MACSS case identification.
To view DWD details:
- Tab to the DWD source interface and select it.
- Press F6=DETAIL. The DWD Detail (FMK7) screen appears.
The DWD Detail (FMK7) screen displays the:
- activity the individual failed to do that caused non-compliance or compliance,
- steps completed by the system, and
- action required by the worker.
