SUBJECT:

NEW FIELD ON SUPERCASE RESIDENT MAINTENANCE (FM0L OR INHOME)

DISCUSSION:

Effective August 1, 2005, workers will be required to enter an end reason and verification code on the Supercase Resident Maintenance (FM0L or INHOME) screen for individuals who are to be removed from the Supercase. Entry of some of these codes allow for individuals to be removed from the Temporary Assistance case without an adverse action notice (FA-510). This also allows the Temporary Assistance notices to have a more specific reason for removing an individual. There is no change to the adverse action procedures or notices for food stamps or Child Care. The notice of adverse action is still sent for food stamp and Child Care cases according to current policy, using the current reasons.

The following are valid reason end codes for removing an individual from a Temporary Assistance case without an adverse action notice:

NOTE: Entering DEC as an end reason removes the individual without an adverse action notice for Temporary Assistance. The individual's death date must still be recorded on the Birth/Death Information (FMAQ or BIRTH) screen.

The following is a valid reason end code that generates an adverse action notice for all programs:

The SCR code is used when an individual moves out of the Supercase and one of the reasons listed above does not apply.

Acceptable methods of verification of the reason end codes for Temporary Assistance, food stamps, and Child Care are: HC, TC, CC or CS.

The Removing a Supercase or Eligibility Unit Member user guide is revised to include these changes.
