SUBJECT: | 18-TO-50-YEAR OLD WORK REQUIREMENT FLYER |
DISCUSSION:
Memorandum IM-#100, dated October 20, 2006 and Memorandum IM-#106 dated December 7, 2006, discuss the changes in counties and policy to the 18-to-50-year old work requirement and the action to be taken by the county offices. Attached to this memorandum is the 18-to-50-Year Old Work Requirement flyer notifying able-bodied adults without dependents of the 3 month time limit in 36 months to receive food stamp benefits while not meeting the 18-to-50-year old work requirement.
Place the attached flyer in areas of the county office (for both sets of counties listed below) where the public can view a copy. Distribute the flyer to community groups, local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, etc. with which ABAWDS may have contact.
