| SUBJECT: | ABAWD 3 NON-WORK MONTHS SYSTEM CHANGES |
DISCUSSION:
FAMIS system changes presented in Income Maintenance Memorandum IM-#106, dated December 7, 2006, have been completed. Effective December 18, 2006, FAMIS identifies EU members who have used all 3 non-work months beginning in January and removes those individuals starting January 2007.
A system generated FA-510, Adverse Action Notice, advising the EU of a benefit reduction or case closing effective January 2007, is being sent to each EU that has an individual who has used all 3 non-work months in a 36 month period. An FA-150, Action Notice is sent when the FA-510 expires and the action is taken.
Sanctions and disqualifications are actions that are required to be acted on for a simplified reporting EU. Do not disregard this action.
Hearing rights apply. If the EU requests a hearing and requests benefits to continue at the current level pending the Hearing Decision, update the status to HOLD (HOL) on the Action Resolution (FM50) screen. When the Hearing Decision is received, process the EU's eligibility according to the Decision and Order.
