TEMPORARILY EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS
DISCUSSION:
This is to clarify Memorandum IM-3, Transfer of Remaining Active Cases in a Work Activity to Division of Workforce Development (DWD), dated 01/13/06. All cases referred to in the above memorandum, including refugees and individuals with the only open component of treatment and support, have been transferred to DWD. Do not manually recode temporarily excluded individuals to be referred to DWD until they are employment and training ready.
Individuals who are determined to be temporarily excluded from work activities during assessment should not be referred to DWD. The Family Support Division (FSD) will continue to re-evaluate the individual's condition until the individual is employment and training ready. If FSD is not aware of a condition that would temporarily exclude an individual or if that individual's situation changes after being referred to DWD, DWD will enter that individual into a temporary waiver.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Do not manually recode temporarily excluded individuals until they become employment and training ready.
- Questions regarding this memorandum and the discussed procedures should be submitted through supervisory channels.
