EBT Voluntary Repayment
DISCUSSION:
A person who owes a debt for a food stamp or Temporary Assistance overpayment may voluntarily use benefits in their EBT account to repay the overpayment. The debtor completes the Voluntary Repayment Authorization Form (IM-114) to allow the agency to remove benefits in the EBT account. The benefits are removed from the EBT card through www.ebtEDGE.com .
The CARS user guide ENTERING REPAYMENT AGREEMENTS AND PROCESSING PAYMENTS IN THE CLAIMS ACCOUNTING AND RESTITUTION SYSTEM (CARS) has been updated to include instructions for removing benefits from the EBT card for a voluntary repayment through ebtEDGE. Refer to EBT Manual section 0150.050.00 Claims.
