DISCUSSION:
The Calculations Methods and Frequency Codes chart explains the calculations methods and frequency codes used on the Income Amount (FMX3) screen in FAMIS. The description of the following codes has changed in FAMIS to clarify the meaning.
BIM | EVERY TWO MONTHS | Divides income entered in the “Gross Amount” field by 2 to arrive at a monthly amount. | When the income is received every two months (bi-monthly). |
BIW | EVERY TWO WEEKS | Multiplies the average income per pay period by a factor of 2.166 to arrive at a monthly amount. | When the income is received every two weeks (bi-weekly). |
SAN | TWICE A YEAR | Divides income entered in the “Gross Amount” field by 6 to arrive at a monthly amount. | When the income is received every 6 months (semi-annually).; |
SMT | TWICE A MONTH | Multiplies the average income per pay period by 2 to arrive at a monthly amount. | When the income is received twice a month (semi-monthly). |
