DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
FAMILY SUPPORT DIVISION
P.O. BOX 2320
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI

TO: ALL COUNTY OFFICES
FROM: JANEL R. LUCK, DIRECTOR
SUBJECT: CHANGES TO EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENT SCREEN

DISCUSSION:

Effective August 26, 2007, the following changes are made to the Employment Assessment (FMMS) screen in FAMIS to alert staff that an EU member has a food stamp MTP sanction:

Code 22 MNC Displays in Controlled Flow

When the last code entered for an EU member is 22 MNC, the 22 MNC displays on the Employment Assessment (FMMS) screen in the controlled flow. This alerts the eligibility specialist that the individual is in non-compliance with the Missouri Employment and Training Program (METP).

Discuss with the EU whether or not the individual meets a work registration exemption or exclusion. If the non-complying member meets a work registration exemption or exclusion, add the appropriate work registration code and status.

If the non-complying EU member does not meet a work registration exemption or exclusion, discuss re-referring the individual to the Division of Workforce Development (DWD) to cure or end the sanction.

The application pends for compliance with METP.

Code 25 Status MNC

Also effective with the above changes, the entry of code 25 and status MNC on the Employment Assessment (FMMS) screen are not allowed when there is no prior referral and failure to comply with DWD. The message, “Initial referral not found” appears when code 25 and status MNC is entered and there is no history of code 22 and status MNC.

Sanction Information Displayed
