DISCUSSION:
IM Memorandum IM-#97 dated September 21, 2007, announced MO HealthNet Managed Care Expansion. This memorandum announces changes to:
- Counties scheduled for MO HealthNet Managed Care Program expansion effective January 1, 2008;
- Mailing dates for enrollment packets and open enrollment date; and
- Plans available in the Managed Care Regions.
Change in Counties Scheduled for MO HealthNet Managed Care Program Expansion
Four counties previously scheduled for MO HealthNet Managed Care Program expansion on January 1, 2008, will not be added at this time. The counties that will not be added to the MO HealthNet Managed Care Program are Crawford, Iron, Hickory and Dallas.
Mailing Dates for Enrollment Packets and Open Enrollment Date
Open enrollment runs through January 17, 2008. Any individual not choosing a MO HealthNet Managed Care health plan prior to January 17, 2008, will be auto-assigned to a MO HealthNet Managed Care health plan on that date. The enrollment packet mail dates were changed as follows:
Western region expansion counties of Bates, Cedar, Polk and Vernon, began having packets mailed November 26, 2007.
Eastern region expansion counties of Perry, Pike and Madison, and Central region expansion counties of Benton, Laclede, Linn, Macon, Marion, Maries, Phelps, Pulaski, Ralls and Shelby began having packets mailed November 27, 2007.
