Section 5, Chapter 4 (Case Record Transfer Procedures), Subsection 4 – Change in Court Jurisdiction

When there is a change in court jurisdiction, and the child will have a new case manager, the current case manager shall:

  • Contact the Eligibility Analyst in writing within five days to explain that the child’s record is being transferred.
  • Indicate:
    • The child’s name as it appears in FACES;
    • The child’s DCN; and
    • The county that has taken jurisdiction and, the date of transfer.

The case manager must work with the receiving circuit to provide information and come to an agreement on transfer logistics. If there is a paper case file, it must be sent to the receiving circuit.
