42 CFR subsection 435.403 requires individuals to reside in the state where they are applying for benefits. The residence requirement is verified through self-attestation.
Note: College students who attend college in Missouri and intend to reside in Missouri while a student meet the Missouri residency requirement for MO HealthNet (MHN) eligibility.
Continuous Eligibility for Children (CEC) does not transfer from state to state. If a child who has continuous eligibility moves out of the state of Missouri, eligibility can be ended. Refer to 1805.070.00 Continuous Eligibility for Children.
