Federal guidance provided in 42 CFR 457.343 requires FSD to complete annual renewals for MO HealthNet Children’s Health Insurance Programs (CHIP), in the same manner as other MAGI programs.
When completing a CHIP annual renewal, assume the following CHIP eligibility factors are unchanged if the participant has not reported a change since the application or previous annual renewal:
- uninsured status
- access to employer-sponsored health insurance
- access to private health insurance
- special healthcare needs
