 FOOD STAMP MANUAL REVISION #4, FOOD STAMP CLAIMS DETERMINATIONS
DISCUSSION:
Section 1142.000.00, FOOD STAMP CLAIMS DETERMINATIONS is added to the Food Stamp Manual.  This section addresses the Claims Accounting and Restitution System (CARS) process, including identifying, establishing, tracking and collection of overpayments in the Food Stamp program. 

Section 1142.035.15.05 discusses how claims are determined for simplified reporting households.

A copy of this section is attached.  File the hard copy in the Food Stamp Manual.

  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff. 
  • File the hard copy of the FOOD STAMP CLAIMS DETERMINATION section in the Food Stamp Manual.
