FAMIS FOOD STAMP SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFIT CLARIFICATION

DISCUSSION:

When a non-significant change in circumstances results in increased benefits, FAMIS issues supplemental benefits for the month the change is entered (if the change was effective that month or earlier) even if the benefits are not due until the following month. This is allowed by existing policy at 1140.020.15 Increased Benefits. Policy is not changed. The timeframe described in this section is the latest possible timeframe to issue additional benefits without causing a QC error.

Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
