TRANSITIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE (TMA)

SUBJECT:
TRANSITIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE (TMA) ADVERSE ACTION REQUIREMENT
FAMILY HEALTHCARE MANUAL REVISION #12
0910.030.00 BUDGETING FOR INCOME ELIGIBILITY FOR TRANSITIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANCE (TMA)
DISCUSSION:
An Adverse Action Notice (IM-80) is required when the second or third quarterly report reflect income in excess of 185% poverty level and the pre-closing/exparte review does not reflect eligibility elsewhere for an individual.  The quarterly report gives the family the opportunity to report if anyone is pregnant, blind or disabled, so an IM-80PRE is not required.

Section 0910.030.00 Budgeting for Income Eligibility (TMA) has been revised to reflect this policy.

NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
