TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE/CASE MANAGEMENT MANUAL REVISION #21:
SECTIONS 0210.015.20 & 0210.015.35
DISCUSSION:
This memorandum is to update the Income Exclusion section of the Temporary Assistance manual.  The following have been added:
  • For budgeting purposes, interest will no longer be counted toward income 0210.015.20 in the Temporary Assistance Program.  While it is still necessary to verify the resource available to the assistance group, interest received on the resource will now be considered excluded income 0210.015.35.
  • The allowance provided to children of Vietnam veterans (including adult children) who were born with the congenital defect spina bifida.
The updated manual pages are attached.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File the revised manual pages.
