Upon written request from local, state, or federal law enforcement personnel,
FSD may disclose the following information:

for the purpose of investigating an alleged violation of the Food Stamp Act or
Food Stamp Regulations, any information provided by the EU may be disclosed; or

if the EU member is fleeing to avoid prosecution or custody for a crime, or an
attempt to commit a crime that is considered a felony, or is violating a
condition of probation or parole, FSD may provide the address, social security
number, and a photograph of the EU member, if available.
The written request from law enforcement shall include:

the identity of the individual requesting the information and his/her authority
to do so,

the violation being investigated, and
-
the identity of the person for whom the information is requested.
If the law enforcement officer does not have the name of the individual for
whom information is requested, do not provide any information. Do not provide
the name of the individual if law enforcement only has an EBT card number.
Policy on disclosure of food stamp information, including disclosure of
information to law enforcement personnel, has been added to the Food Stamp
Manual at
1100.015.00.
