MEDICARE PART D ADVERSE ACTION AND PHARMACY CO-PAYMENT NOTICE
DISCUSSION:
On December 15, 2005, the Division of Medical Services mailed a letter (sample attached 
) to all Missouri residents who receive both Medicaid and Medicare. The letter contains valuable information about Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, co-payments and information about individual hearing rights.
As a result of this letter, Family Support Division (FSD) staff may see an increase in contacts from recipients with questions. Individuals who contact the local FSD office should be instructed to follow the instructions in the letter for hearings and/or co-payment issues.
For additional information regarding Medicare Part D, refer to IM Memorandum 65, dated 06/13/05 and IM Memorandum 150, dated 12/16/05.
