SUBJECT: | MO HEALTHNET PROGRAM NAME CHANGES |
DISCUSSION:
Memorandum IM-83 of August 28, 2007, announced that Senate Bill 577 (2007) changed the name of Missouri Medicaid to MO HealthNet. This memorandum announces additional name changes to Family Support Division programs. Effective immediately the Family Healthcare programs are renamed:
- MC+ for Children is renamed MO HealthNet for Kids (MHK)
- MC+ for Pregnant Women is renamed MO HealthNet for Pregnant Women (MPW)
- Medical Assistance for Families (MAF) is renamed MO HealthNet for Families (MHF)
- Transitional Medical Assistance is renamed Transitional MO HealthNet (TMH)
- Temporary Medicaid During Pregnancy (TEMP) is renamed Temporary MO HealthNet During Pregnancy (TEMP)
- Medical Assistance for Children in Care is renamed MO HealthNet for Children in Care (MHCC)
In addition, Medical Assistance (MA) is renamed MO HealthNet for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled (MHABD), and Medical Assistance for Disabled Children (MADC) is now MO HealthNet for Disabled Children (MHDC).
Staff will be notified as changes in policy and procedure that contain references to program names are made. FAMIS letters are being updated.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
- Begin using the new program names immediately.
