SUBJECT:	PROCEDURES TO IMPOSE THE DISQUALIFICATION PENALTY MANUAL REVISION FOOD STAMP MANUAL REVISION #34 1145.020.00

DISCUSSION:

The Food Stamp Manual section 1145.020.00 Procedures to Impose the Disqualification Penalty is revised. The revision includes:

• adding descriptions to the disqualification and category codes; and

• adding procedures on when a category (CAT) code is required to be entered on the Sanction/Disqualification (FMAM) screen.

The Entering A Sanction or Disqualification user guide is updated to:

• add procedures for imposing a Temporary Assistance sanction/disqualification when entering a sanction or disqualification on the Sanction/Disqualification (FMAM) screen; and

• add descriptions to the sanction and disqualification codes.

NECESSARY ACTION:

• Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
