DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this memorandum is to correct an error on MAGI Appendix B – Reasonable Compatibility Calculator.  To align the State Verification Plan and manual section 1805.030.15 Reasonable Compatibility wording has been changed in line 18 of the calculator to read:

  • If NO, and EOI is above the income standard and self-attested income is below, continue with percentage determination. If NO, and self-attested income is above the income standard and EOI is below, send IM-31A for explanation/verification of income.  When received, use that information to redetermine Reasonable Compatibility.

  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
