MEMORANDUM
2004 Memorandums
IM-109      10/20/04
SUBJECT:
FAMIS SCREEN CHANGES AND BACKOUT PLAN
DISCUSSION:
Effective November 8, 2004, all changes to the FAMIS screens due to the implementation of Temporary Assistance will appear when processing Child Care and/or food stamp cases. Some of these changes were addressed in a series of memorandums introduced in Memorandum IM-#83, dated September 8, 2004.

Between Monday, November 8, and Tuesday, November 9, 2004, all county offices must make copies (screen prints) of all Child Care eligibility transactions and child authorizations, and food stamp actions, and store them in a daily transaction file.

These copies must be maintained in an easily accessible location for all staff processing Child Care and food stamp applications and actions. This file establishes readily available back-up files for each county office, in the event of a system error or shut down.

As it is necessary to maintain accurate records of transactions, we are asking county administrators to set up procedures in their offices to ensure that all appropriate transactions are copied from Monday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 9, 2004.

FAMIS will send out a broadcast message to inform staff of the progress with the revised screens in production.

NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
