DISCUSSION:
Memorandum IM-73 July 6, 2021 Returned Mail for All Income Maintenance (IM) Programs provided revisions to the SNAP policy manual, section 1140.025.10.05 Exemptions to Notice of Adverse Action; when returned mail is received with or without an updated address, no notice is forwarded to a household.
The policy has also been revised with information regarding:
- households whose members are all deceased
- clarification that an adverse action is needed for an Intentional Program Violation (IPV) determined in another state that is found through a disqualified recipient match
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
